Who didn't grow up with the exciting fairy tale Peter and the Wolf? It is one of the favorite pieces from classical music to introduce children to this repertoire. The story is exciting and the way the music portrays the characters makes it a beloved work.

In this performance, the music in Prokofiev's virtuoso four-hand version is performed by Piano Duo Scholtes & Janssens.Minor artist Tobias Wenting single-handedly plays all the roles in this musical fairy tale. Rarely has anyone played such a convincing Peter, wolf, grandfather, duck, bird, cat and hunter.Exciting, funny, and a feast for the eyes and ears for children aged 4 years and older and their (grand)parents.

The story and music by Sergei Prokofiev became world famous soon after the premiere. He wrote the play on behalf of the children's theater in Moscow, to introduce Russian children to music. The story is about the boy Peter who walks out of his grandfather's garden without permission, while wolves are walking around outside. Grandpa calls him back into the garden just in time, because the wolf is already coming... with his dark eyes he watches a bird, a duck and a cat. Which of the three will end up in his stomach? And will it all end well for Peter and his grandfather?
