Salomé Bonnema

Salomé Bonnema received her first violin lessons at the age of five. In 2016 she took lessons with Vera Beths and started her bachelor's degree at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague in 2019. In 2023, Salomé graduated with a 10 with distinction for 'extraordinary and honest craftsmanship'.
Salomé is a prize winner of, among others, the Dutch Violin Competition, the Princess Christina Competition and the International Violin Competition Kloster Schöntal. In 2024 she won the Oskar Back Prize. She attended master classes with Philippe Graffin, Frank Peter Zimmerman, Rosanne Philippens, Kirill Troussov and Baiba Skride. Salomé is principal of the Viride Quartet with which she was 'Quartet in Residence' at the Zeister Music Days from 2019 to 2023. In 2019, the quartet received the string quartet stipend from Het Kersjesfonds and has since been performed on major stages in the Netherlands.
Salomé plays a Charles Adolphe Gand violin on loan from Beare's International Violin Society. Her violin bow is a Charles Peccatte from the 'Tettelaar' collection on loan from the National Musical Instrument Fund.
